Other believers against Bush have said:

Support for Kerry was Unchristian?

I was torn, thinking my support for Kerry made me “unchristian.” I have heard that remark from many people lately, and i have also heard the Bush was the most moral of the candidates. I felt like maybe these people were right, and that I was going against Christ by going with my heart. It is so great to hear that there are those out there who feel exactly the same as I do. I can not thank you enough!!!

The Republican Propaganda Machine

During this election I was stunned that so many born again Christians could be fooled by the Republican propaganda machine. The Republicans always “talk about” family values, but they do nothing to support or encourage families. In the four years that George Bush has been president, he has done nothing about abortion except “talk about” it. But he seemed to have no problem pushing tax cuts through for the wealthy. We see where his priorities are at.

Glad you’re still here

I was, like many, discouraged by the events of November second and third. The prospect of another four years under Bush is frightening and disheartening. However, I was very encouraged to see that this site is still active and standing as a beacon of truth in a sea of confusion. Believers against Bush has been, and will continue to be, a blessing to many like myself.

I am a believer against Bush in one of the most republican states around, Texas, and I come from a non-denominational evangelical-based church. Needless to say, most people around me are Bush supporters. When I become discouraged, I only need to look as far as this website to know that there are other people who see in the gospels a message of peace, equality, acceptance, and charity; and see in Bush an agenda of deceit, baseless war, and catering to the rich.

Thank you. You are a blessing to me and to all Christians who know that following Christ always takes precedence over following whoever is in office.

Your brother in Christ,

The teachings of Jesus, the Bible, and the Christian Message

As a person who was reared on the teachings of Jesus of Nazareth I have been both puzzled and saddened by the apparent capture of believers by the purveyors of violence and greed. It is therefore more than refreshing to get this message!

This is long overdue!! We live in the “Bible Belt” and it seems less and less Biblical!!!! Thank you for doing this for all of us out here!!!... I took some of the quotes from your site to my Democratic Woman’s club tonight and they all loved it. Those with computers are going to be checking you out!!

I am a theologically conservative Christian who believes that my Biblical world view mandates politically progressive views. I am sick of the Christian Right purporting to speak for all of us, and am glad to see more and more believersspeaking out against their Biblically unsound positions.

I was so relieved to find your site! I have felt so alone as a Christian not seeing the Christian acts that this president proclaims to do. I wanted to write a letter to our editor and was hoping I could use some of your writings.

I, too, am appalled at the distortion of the Christian message by this administration and the way they dupe working Americans into backing their agenda, which is detrimental to those Americans best interests. It is our children who will have to continue to fight Mr. Bush’s war and repay his debt.

The fundamentalist takeover

... There are many, many Christians who are sickened and saddened by the apparent brainwashing that has taken over fundamentalist Churches in our nation... The sheep are asleep in the field while the Shephard is fleecing their future--we must work to wake them up.

We even had some friendly responses from non-believers...

The GOP’s attitude toward the poor, education, the environment, minorities, and anyone who is not a Christian seem to me completely contrary to what I understand Christianity to stand for. Tolerance, respect for all of God’s people and creatures, caring for those less fortunate—these are true Christian tenets, right? (Forgive my speculation, I am not a Christian.) They are notably absent in Republican politics today... Many thanks to you and your intellegent, powerful, and (I hope) convincing words.
